To celebrate the sheer audacity of the race, Suunto is delighted to release 1138 pieces of the Red Bull X-Alps Limited Edition Suunto 9 Baro Titanium. Each piece features a red gasket and is numbered with a corresponding kilometer of the race in the titanium bezel. Fans of Red Bull X-Alps, thousands of whom stay glued to the race live online, can snap up their own piece of the action.

In Red Bull X-Alps, athletes from around the world pit themselves against wild mountain terrain and fierce winds as they race across the span of the European Alps by foot or paraglider. There is no room for weakness, no room for miscalculation. Often covering distances of 100 km per day, athletes combine skill and strategy to navigate the complex route, while overcoming injury and fatigue. Many will accept defeat and drop out, but a select few will persevere to reach the finish line.

Each of the 32 athletes will wear a Suunto 9 Baro while racing, helping them to stay on route, pace their efforts and remain locked in. Designed and built for the toughest conditions, the Suunto 9 is the perfect wingman for this race.

The special edition watch has a black textile quick release strap with the Red Bull X-Alps logo and Suunto Red Arrow printed on each side. An additional black silicone strap will come with each piece.
